Natural Disasters

Some of the things you can do to prepare for the unexpected, such as making an emergency supply kit and developing a family communications plan, are the same for all emergencies. Manmade Threats

Manmade threats may involve devastating acts using weapons of mass destruction ranging from chemical agents, biological hazards, a radiological or nuclear device, and other explosives. The primary objective of a manmade threat is to create widespread fear. Because of the nature of manmade threats, there is no place in the United States, including Orange County, that is not a target in the future. Our County's law enforcement and safety personnel are some of the most highly trained and top-rated officials in the nation. But, we all must be aware of the potential of manmade threats.
